Why I Created This Theme

Some creations are born from loss, others from love — and sometimes, both at once. The Ballerina Bunny Memorial Program came to life after working closely with a family who had lost their little girl — their beautiful, pink-loving princess.

They had chosen my My Little Princess design, a soft, blush-colored template meant to cradle the memory of a child in gentle sweetness. Together, we built her program, her welcome poster, and her “share a memory” cards. It was heartbreaking and humbling all at once.

When we finished, the family was so grateful. But I remember sitting quietly after that project, feeling the weight of what it means for a parent to lose a child.

The Thought No Parent Can Bear

As a single mother for many years, I used to tell my children:
“I’m a strong lady. I can take a lot. But here’s rule #1— I go first. Because I don’t think I could survive losing one of you.”

And I still believe that. The loss of a child is the deepest heartbreak a parent can know. No matter how much faith we have, how much we trust in heaven, our hearts still ache for the laughter, the milestones, the “what could have been.”

That ache — that love that never ends — is what inspired this design.

A Tribute to Dreams Interrupted

After helping that family, I couldn’t stop thinking about the children who leave this world before they’ve had the chance to grow up and live their dreams. My own daughter once wanted to be a ballerina when she grew up. I pictured her in tiny pink slippers, practicing spins and leaps — full of joy and grace.

And I thought, what if she never had that chance?

That’s when I knew what I needed to make next.

I went searching for the right imagery, something that would capture innocence, sweetness, and hope all at once. And then I found them — the watercolor bunny ballerinas. Soft, whimsical, full of light. They felt like heaven’s way of saying, “They’re still dancing — just on a higher stage.”

Dancing in Heaven’s Light

The Ballerina Bunny design is for every child whose story ended too soon, and for every parent who holds on through faith and memory. It’s a reminder that those little ones are safe in God’s arms, twirling through eternity, surrounded by love that never fades.

It’s my prayer that this design brings peace and comfort to the families who need it most — a whisper from heaven that love, like music, never ends.
